Position Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist, also called speech therapists, work to assess, diagnose and treat patients with language, cognitive, communication and swallowing disorders. SLP at WRHS will provide services to inpatients, outpatients and other patient populations in which WRHS has entered into a contractual agreement with. This may include public schools, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Some travel may be required.
Excellence in Practice:
Education: Graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology. PhD is not required.
Experience: New graduates acceptable for consideration.
License Requirements: Licensed to practice Speech Therapy in the state of ND

- Evaluating and developing appropriate treatment plans to meet individual’s specific needs.
- Monitoring a patient’s progress to make sure that they’re successfully completing treatment.
- Encouraging the patient during their recovery process.
- Helping patients to improve their quality of life.
- Updating patient plan of care and home programming to continue to achieve progress.
- Teaching patients, family member or caregivers the skills and techniques necessary to help with the patient’s treatment program.
